This Bullet Belongs in No Gun

I am totally digging these retro bullet planters from Hip Haven. I think every decent mid-century home needs at least a couple at their doorstep and back entryway. They come in 3 sizes and you can pick from an array of colors. I especially like the aqua and rattan one!

Enchanted Backyard Path

I stumbled across this neat tutorial on how to create a cute garden path in your backyard. I rent, and I don't have much of a backyard but this will be great to keep handy for later!

Step 1: Outline the path by laying down rope or garden hoses; adjust them to get the shape you want.

Step 2: Dig a 3-inch-deep path channel and edge it with bender board. Fill with crushed gravel.
Step 3: Arrange potted plants to your liking, then dig holes and plant. Plants will fill out in about 9 months, softening sharp edges.
