Obsession of the Month: P-P-P-Pyrex!

Many people may think of Pyrex as clear heavy duty ovenware, but if you look to the past (all the way to the 1900's!) or even in your local thrift store, you'll find the same sturdy cookware but in an array of colors and designs.

Old Pyrex has easily become a collectible item for its retro design and practicality. If you're not collecting yet, then it's about time!

Obsession of the Month: Seagulls

The last place I would think to look for inspiration is my gynecologist's office. My gyn just moved to a new building, which in addition to its breathtaking 22-story view of the Houston skyline, has the coolest glass partition with a mid-century style etched scene of seagulls and a sun. I would love to see this in a modern home!

I have always been drawn to the clean and simple lines of seagulls in flight. The older renditions are usually my favorite.
