I was listening to the radio this morning and heard that the Wisconsin State Fair is now serving chocolate-covered bacon! Yeah, that's right! I've had fried PB&J sandwiches before but nothing close to the intriguing salty/sweet combo of decadent chocolate on fried pork!

Fair foods have always been a rare treat for me especially living in the city. I love the nostalgic feeling of being at the fair, but it's the overindulgence of eating all the mouth-watering comfort foods that really gets me going!

I have now added chocolate-covered bacon to my list along with fried Twinkies.

Just received a highly anticipated wedding gift from a good friend (shout out to Nathan!!) in New Orleans.

The lady at the post office had to lend me a dolly to roll this huge box to my car.
(hmm...what could it be??)


After sifting through a large box of peanuts, breaking my way into a smaller box, and unwrapping plastic baggies, I was finally able to uncover the prized jewels...

Ta da! Homemade ale and liqueur! Sweet!!
